Frequently Asked Questions About Matt McKee Photography:
"But, what is it that you do? Food? Still life? Product? Portrait? Location? What?"
I do all of those. Which, in some minds, makes me a generalist. However, one of my clients put it this way: "Matt, you are not a generalist! You spend a lot of time creating the concept of each of your images before you even get to the set. You are a 'specificist'."
"Your clients hire you to tell specific visual stories about their products and services to their prospects, not to just snap some generic photos."
To put it another way, I talk to my clients to find out, not what we are shooting, but what we are trying to say. Then, together, the client and I figure out how to say it in an image.
My career exists at the intersection of Art and Commerce. My clients ask me to tell the story of their products, people, and services, with images, so that they can reach their goals.
